Colour is very important for me in my work with paintings, watercolours, crayons, prints and sculpture. I choose mostly colouristic bright, light and pure colours, which can make the heart flutter and the mind fly.
I express myself in an abstract, lyrical way with inspiration from people around me and from nature and travels in the Mediterranean countries. The forms are mostly reduced to well-defined areas of colour, and occasionally the inspirational motif can still be discerned despite the abstraction. I work with enthusiastic colours in lyrically sensous pictures. I try to contrast colour towards colour and warmth against coldness, and often the perspective is changed or completely dissolved.
It is the general atmosphere and the feelings connected with the experiences that are important to me. I try like the poet to condense and compress many different experiences and sense impressions to a simple and concentrated expression, and at the same time keep it open for the imagination and understanding of the beholder. Some of my works are distinctive and powerful while others are gentle and calm. Some expresses condensation, defiance and pain while others breathes with light and hope. My point of departue is the hope and longing for life, light and harmony, which reflects itself in my optimistic, sensous paintings.
In my work with decorations, I choose different solutions trying to find the best suited for the symbiotic integration between the surface - painting - and the people involved, the architecture and surroundings - the volume.
I always respect agreements and budgets.
