Utility Paintings 2005
In this series of paintings I wanted to use alot of color along with
a direct approach in application.
In my attempt to base the series around the title Utility I began to
think of the sub titles and their purpose.
In a small group of (15) pieces, Utility Paintings are things we
recognize and use in our daily lives everyday or an event which may
occur by the use of a utility, and the act of utility, the inner
parts of a utility, each piece superimposed to it's own image. Where
my palette of color determines the abstract outcome in appearance.
Utility paintings are meant to appear as a bright dash in color,
with spontaneous fit to form. |
