Questioning the
human perception is a central topic in the work of photographic artist
Udo Beck. Holding a degree in chemical engineering, Beck's innovations
stem from fusing his roles as a scientific experimenter and an artist,
creating pictures that represent images not yet perceived. His
pictures emerge from experimental techniques like self-built pinhole
cameras, photogram or photo-chemical manipulation. They give us the
impression of scientific illustrations without limiting our
imaginative interpretation. |
