Gostanza, a young woman from Lipari, loves Martuccio Gomito, Recognizing each other, their love is rekindled. Gostanza makes
a skilled merchant. When she hears of his death after a failed herself known to Martuccio, and the couple marries with the king’s
venture, she despairs and, in her sorrow, sets sail alone in a small blessing. With Martuccio’s newly acquired wealth and esteem, they
boat. The wind carries her to Susa, where she discovers that return to Lipari, where they live happily, their bond made stronger
by the trials they overcame.
